Track Day/AutoX at Auto Club Speedway

My first best friend, Nick invited me out to check out autoX at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana. It is something completely foreign to the normal car scene i'm use to. I have been accustomed to g2g, meet up, car shows, but track day are not for the cars to look pretty. It's to see the car perform. It helps when you have a team/crew. Nick had a whole support crew starting from his roommate and good friend, Ivan. From there were several well experience autoX drivers. This was definitely a fun experience. It's all fun. It can be sketchy for sure, but it's something everyone needs to participate in sometime.

Started off early, left North County before the sun could rise, grabbed our spot, settled in, registered, attended the driver's meeting, then off to the races. The group consisted of many famous and respect motoring underground members. From the well seasoned Miata to track hungry FR-S to new comer Focus ST. Everyone was welcome to join the fun. There was plenty of cars going around. I saw some stock Honda Civic EX, popular American muscle, European Luxury, to race ready Imports. There's a spot for everyone.

It's a great oppurtunity to learn one's car and try to push it to the limits and personal limits to. It may look easy being little bit longer than 30 seconds, but the entire time you're focus on so many things from the gas, proper gearing, braking, turning. AHHHHH!!!! No room for mistakes if you want to make every second count. Nick cerntainly shined on his first time doing it. 33.9 seconds, one of the best times among the day.

Watch his run on my youtube channel.
Nick's AutoX run.

And always, thanks for watching.
